Who we are

Founder and Facilitator, Solistra Collective

Kris Edwards is the Founder and Facilitator of Solistra Collective, a leadership learning lab designed to support courageous, collaborative leadership in healthcare, government, nonprofit, and emergency response sectors. He founded Solistra out of a deep commitment to transforming how we lead—especially in high-stakes, high-stress environments—through shared learning, systems thinking, and relational practice.

With over 12 years of frontline experience as a paramedic with BC Emergency Health Services, Kris brings firsthand insight into the complexity and emotional demands of emergency response work. He has served as a peer support team member with the BCEHS Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) program, offering emotional support and psychological first aid to colleagues in crisis.

Kris is also a seasoned educator, having taught paramedics at both the post-secondary and organizational levels. His facilitation style blends academic rigour with deep empathy, and his teaching is informed by real-world experience and relational leadership practice.

He holds a Master of Arts in Leadership (Healthcare specialization) from Royal Roads University and is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching, with plans to pursue a Master of Arts in Executive and Organizational Coaching by 2027.

Inspired by the work of Peter Senge, Amy Edmondson, and Indigenous knowledge systems, Kris is passionate about building learning cultures that are reflective, resilient, and ready to lead through complexity.
